The Barron River is one of the oldest hotels in Cairns being first built as a lodging house in 1887 & then opened by The Tully family as a hotel in 1927.
The veranda is a great place to relax, overlooking the old timber mill and the rail lines where the Kuranda Railway journeys past each day, lade with tourists.
With a large range of cold beers & cider on tap, Keno and TAB, the hotel certainly caters for those who want to have a great time.
There's live acoustic music on the front deck at sunset every Friday & Saturday featuring great local talent and the last Thursday of each month is 'The Barron's Trivia Night.'
There is plenty of space for parking out the back and the hotel also has a Liquor Shop attached to it so you can grab a few coldies to enjoy at home.
