Tentative Bookings

A tentative booking will be held for a period of seven (7) days. We (Liquorland (Qld) Pty Ltd) reserve the right to terminate the tentative booking without notice after this period.

 

Confirmation of Booking and Payment of Fees

To confirm your booking you will need to pay the room hire fees for the rooms you wish to reserve. All remaining fees, as determined by the number of persons attending your function and your selection from our menus, & other available services, will be due seven (7) days prior to your function.

At this time we will also require a credit/debit card imprint for security purposes. This will not be processed unless there is damage sustained to our property, hotel property is stolen, or an extra cleaning fee is required. To avoid an extra cleaning fee, please do not use confetti or party poppers either inside or outside the room.

 

Cancellation

Notice of cancellations must be made in writing, and the following conditions apply:

If notice is given at least six (6) months prior to the event, a full refund is available. If notice is given less than six (6) months prior to the event, room hire fees to a maximum of $350 are retained. If notice is given two (2) weeks or less prior to the event, room hire fees to a maximum of $350 are retained, plus 25% of the full catering fee will be charged.

 

Final Numbers

Confirmation of final numbers is required seven (7) days prior to the function. This will be considered a minimum number, not subject to reduction. Should the number of guests exceed the minimum, the Hotel will endeavour to accommodate them but no guarantee is given. Should such extra guests be accommodated, the appropriate charges will be made accordingly. We will advise you of the additional charges and you must pay these within two (2) days. If the number of guests drops below this number, you will still be charged according to the minimum number given.

 

Payment

Payment of your account may be made by cash, credit card or money order. If you are unable to come into the hotel to make a payment, a credit or debit card payment may be made over the phone, for your convenience. If you wish to pay by cheque, payment is deemed not accepted until the funds have been cleared.

 

Pricing & Menus

Whilst we endeavour to maintain all prices at the time of booking they may be subject to price increase at the management’s discretion. Beverage prices are subject to change without notice and are based on CPI increases. All prices quoted include GST.

When alterations are requested to buffets or set menus, prices may differ depending on additions, deletions or changes. Children’s and special diet menus are available on request.

Functions booked on public holidays will incur a 50% surcharge on total bill of room hire & catering.

 

Cakes and other Food

Due to health and safety laws no food may be brought into the function other than the food provided by the Hotel. However, cakes such as birthday, wedding etc. may be brought in to the hotel provided it has been purchased from an accredited food and beverage establishment.

Cakeage fees apply: $10 per 25 people, if you require plates, cutlery and serviettes, or you require our chef to cut & platter your cake for you.

 

Damage and Injury

You assume all responsibility for all and any property damage and personal injury caused by you and your guests and anyone else under your control (including (without limitation) a DJ or entertainer), either in the function room or another part of the Hotel and agree to compensate us for any related costs, expenses, liabilities and losses.

If a DJ or entertainer is used, you are advised to ensure that they have suitable insurance cover. The Hotel manager shall be entitled to remove anyone from the premises whose behaviour is felt to be inappropriate.

 

Alcohol and the Law

Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed by those patrons over the age of 18 years. Proof of age may be requested by the Hotel at any time. As we operate licensed premises, under no circumstances may alcohol be brought onto the premises. As the function room is part of the Hotel, all responsible service of alcohol laws apply. Any breaches of liquor licensing may result in termination of your function without refund, or guests being refused service and asked to leave the premises immediately.

 

(Acceptable forms of Identification are:A current Australian drivers licence, a current Australian 18+ card or a passport)

 

Staying Longer

Your room hire fee covers you for a period of up to 6 hours, but not extending past midnight, regardless of the start time. We are happy for you to extend your function past the 6 hour period, at a cost of $100 per hour until midnight. If the room is required after midnight, subject to applicable law and regulation and at the Hotel manager’s discretion, there will be an additional fee of $150 per hour.

 

Minors

Minors are allowed in the function room until such time as specified by the Hotel management and must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times. Under special circumstances and at the discretion of the Hotel management this time may be extended, however minors will not be permitted to stay beyond what is legally permitted. Minors are not allowed to access any area of the Hotel apart from the function room whether or not they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
