Townsville has grown into a large provincial city and the areas around the Hotel Allen have transformed too, but everyone still recognises the hotel for the friendly service it has provided since it first opened its doors.

Great Food

Accommodation 

The Hotel Allen offers two styles of accommodation.
 
The Strandview Apartments are located at the rear of the complex, only 1 block from the famous Strand development and beaches. These apartments are tropically designed and self-contained with spacious living areas and full cooking facilities in each suite.
 
The Motel complex has 86 smaller units, with TV, fridge and ensuite bathroom. Most are air-conditioned with a 2-star rating.
 
Both complexes have access to the swimming pool and all other facilities within the hotel. Reception is open daily from 8am except Sundays (9am).
 
Bookings can be made through our reception or through wotif.com for last minute rates.
 

Gaming

The Hotel Allen has a fun and exciting Gaming Room with 40 of the latest poker machines, link jackpots and keno. Tea and coffee is complimentary and, with daily promotions, it's a fun place to spend some time.
Monday through to Friday mornings we have a free morning tea from 10.30am with filtered coffee and fresh cakes.
 
The Hotel Allen supports the Responsible Service and Promotion of Gaming in our venue.  If Gambling becomes a problem please call the Gambling Helpline on 1800 222 050 or click here. The Hotel Allen does not permit minors - persons under the age of 18 years, or excluded persons to participate in gaming activities or gaming promotions at the hotel.
 
 
 

Facilities

The bistro at the Hotel Allen has a reputation that only years of providing great value, high quality food and service can give. The hotel is based around a central courtyard, and so offers the choice of indoor or outdoor dining, and is open 7 days for lunch (12noon-2pm) and dinner 6pm-8pm Sunday - Wednesday and 6pm-9pm Thursday - Saturday. The great feature of the Hotel Allen’s bistro is choice - there is an a la carte menu with daily specials for you to choose from. Breakfast is available on Sunday mornings from 7am.
 
The bar is the home base for a number of sports teams who enjoy the many beers on tap, the big screens for all the sports action and the regular live entertainment. There is a full TAB facility as well as Keno.
 
The hotel also features a function room, suitable for weddings, parties or meetings, comfortably catering for up to 120 people seated or 200 cocktail.
